Free Ultrasounds in Chickasha
Life Choices offers free, limited obstetrical ultrasounds to determine gestational age, detect a fetal heartbeat, and verify that the pregnancy is in the uterus. Our ultrasounds are performed by our in-house registered Sonographer and reviewed by our radiologist.
First, request an initial appointment for a pregnancy test or chat with an advocate or nurse online.
Questions related to Ultrasounds?
-
Due to the high need for free ultrasounds in Chickasha, we require clients to validate their need with a positive pregnancy test first. We offer free pregnancy tests and can usually have your ultrasound scheduled on the same day.
-
If you're considering abortion, your first step is to schedule an ultrasound.
Before scheduling an abortion, an ultrasound will determine...
Whether your pregnancy is progressing: This is crucial for determining which abortion method you are eligible for, as each procedure and its costs depend on your health history and the pregnancy's progression.
Whether your pregnancy is viable: An ultrasound is the only way to confirm a viable pregnancy (one that is progressing). Studies show that up to one in four pregnancies do not progress. Some women may not know they've had a miscarriage until an ultrasound reveals it. If you have miscarried, you will need follow-up care from a doctor. -
Limited Ultrasounds Often DO:
- Detect fetal heartbeat
- Determine the approximate due date
- Determine the number of fetuses
- Advise immediate medical attention at an emergency room if indicated
Limited Ultrasounds at Life Choices do NOT:
- Determine the sex of the baby
- Diagnose fetal abnormalities
- Substitute for prenatal care
-
We offer cost-free ultrasounds to determine if your pregnancy is viable and to assess the stage of fetal development. As a community-funded 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Life Choices does not profit from your ultrasound or pregnancy decision. Since our services are free, nothing will appear on your insurance or be billed to your account.
Your ultrasound information is completely confidential. We are here to support you as you evaluate your options in a safe space.
Request a confidential appointment online or call us. All after-hours requests will be responded to the following business day.
If you are experiencing health issues such as bleeding, spotting, or cramping, seek immediate medical attention. These could be signs of a miscarriage, and you may need further medical care.
